GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Officials with the I-85/385 Gateway Project said drivers should expect a detour on I-85 North Tuesday night as crews demolish some of the older structures associated with the project.

I-85 North traffic will be detoured at the Exit 51 ramp and directed to take Exit 51-B to 385 SB.  From there, drivers will be directed to take the Woodruff Road exit, make a left, and then another left to I-385 North. Then, take the exit for I-85 North towards Spartanburg.

The detour will begin around 10 p.m. and should be lifted by 5 a.m. on Wednesday.

Officials ask drivers to use extra caution and expect a slowdown in these areas during that time.
