Warmer days are head along with a few chances of showers!
A sunny sky and an increasing westerly wind will warm the afternoon into the 60s, approaching 70 degrees in spots. Winds will gust to, or possibly exceed, 30 mph at times this afternoon.
A wind advisory is in effect until 8 PM for the high elevations (3500ft and higher) of the mountains where gusts could approach or exceed 45-50 mph.
These gusty winds along with very dry air will create a relatively high fire danger across the area, so outdoor burning is highly discouraged!
Friday turns warmer in the Upstate with highs in the low 70s, but the mountains see extra clouds and a small chance for rain later in the day.
A better chance of showers moves in for the first half of St. Patrick’s Day Saturday, but the afternoon and evening look mostly dry. That dry weather should last through most of Sunday as well.
The next system arrives early next week, bringing the next chance of rain and possibly a few thunderstorms Monday into early Tuesday. Another round of cold air could move in toward Wednesday!
