A man who admitted guilt in a series of property crimes starting in May of 2017 has learned his fate.

Michael Crowe, 27, pleaded guilty to three counts of second-degree burglary, two counts of petty larceny and breaking into a motor vehicle. He also admitted in court that he was fueled by his addiction to methamphetamine.

The crime spree began when Crowe, along with one other person, broke into a Flatwood Road residence and stole a computer, camera, luggage, and other personal items. He also attempted a burglary of weapons at a Cannons Campground home in June, 2017. Deputies say he was arrested a few days later.

A background check on Crowe revealed prior convictions for dozens of Upstate property crimes.

“Too often, we see a methamphetamine addiction turn into a life of crime,” Assistant Solicitor Eddie Hunter said.

Crowe was sentenced to 15 years in prison.

Multiple charges are still pending against Crowe's accomplice.
