WOODRUFF, SC (FOX Carolina) -

The Spartanburg County Sheriff's Office said a stolen Woodruff City Police Department patrol car was recovered on Monday.

Deputies said Woodruff officers had been tracking the vehicle using GPS and while on patrol, the deputy was advised that the car was at a location in the 1500 block of Kilgore Bridge Road.

When the deputy arrived at the location, he said he could see the vehicle, a beige and gold Dodge Charger, behind the residence.

Deputies said 40-year-old Kimberly Dawn Gwinn admitted to driving the car. She was arrested on an active probation violation warrant and transported to the Woodruff Police Department for further questioning.

The Woodruff Police Department has charged Gwinn with grand larceny. According to the arrest warrant, Gwinn stole the patrol car on Apr. 16.
