GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Beautiful weather will kick off the weekend, but showers will push in toward late Sunday. Expect the rain the stick around through the early part of this week.

Tonight will be chilly with lows down to 42 in Upstate and 35 for the mountains. Expect sunny skies through most of Saturday with highs near 70 by late afternoon. Clouds will build in toward Saturday night, but it should be clear enough to see some shooting stars with the Lyrid Meteor Shower.

Sunday will be mostly cloudy, but the rain should hold off until after 5PM. Highs will be a bit cooler in the 60s. Showers will slowly push in Sunday night, then the rain will be widespread and heavy at times for the Monday morning commute.

Expect rain to stick around, but become more scattered in natures for Monday afternoon into Tuesday morning. We’ll see slowly clearing conditions toward mid-week after potentially getting 2+ inches of rainfall to start the week.
