SPARTANBURG, SC (FOX Carolina) -

The Spartanburg County coroner confirms an Upstate man passed away over two weeks after a collision.

The coroner said Theodore Robert Ware, 38 of Spartanburg, passed away on Friday at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Per the coroner, Ware was involved in a wreck on April 3 at approximately 8:45 p.m. near the intersection of Parris Bridge Road, Sanders Road and Harris Road.

Ware was the sole occupant of the vehicle, the coroner confirmed.

Troopers said Ware had been driving east down Paris Bridge Road when he traveled off the left side of the road, striking a mailbox before overturning and then hit a sign and tree.

Troopers said he was transported to the hospital, where he passed away.
