Police: One dead, another in stable condition after shooting in Asheville

ASHEVILLE, NC (FOX Carolina) -

Officials with Asheville Police Department said one person is dead and another victim is in stable condition after a shooting in Asheville Saturday night.

The call came in at 9:02 p.m.

Police said they responded to Lee Walker Heights after reports that a person was suffering from a gunshot wound.

Upon arrival, police said they found two victims suffering from life-threatening gunshot wounds.

Both were transported to Mission Hospital, however police said one victim, 21-year-old Devon Jervay Harvin of Asheville, succumbed to his injuries.

The other victim is in stable condition at this time.
