TAYLORS, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Greenville County dispatchers received an emergency call on Monday regarding a vehicle hit by a train.

The incident occurred on Brook Glenn Road in the Taylors area. Taylors Fire Department and EMS were on scene of the crash.

Firefighters said one patient was being treated after the incident. The victim was not entrapped in the vehicle.

A spokesperson for Norfolk Southern said the car was crossing the tracks when it was hit by the oncoming train. The intersection has automatic lights and gates to alert drivers to approaching trains.

Norfolk Southern said the train consisted of 3 locomotives and 86 freight cars.
