On and off showers, along with the occasional downpour, continue throughout the day. This means additional ponding of water on roads and isolated flooding stays possible, especially in western NC. Conditions clear up slowly by late Tuesday before more rain Thursday into Friday.
Well over an inch of rain has fallen so far across the Upstate with some spots over 2-3". A Flood Watch continues until 4 PM as we monitor streams and rivers for overflow.
Rain will be off and on through the afternoon, but there should be some dry periods as well. Expect temps to rebound into the upper 60s this afternoon as peeks of sunshine break through.
Wednesday looks mostly dry at this point, as we'll be between rain-makers. Highs return to seasonal "normals" in the 60s to mid-70s. A quick moving low pressure will push through late Thursday into Friday to bring another brief round of rain.
The good news is the sky should clear in time for the weekend!
