Fire Chief: Car T-boned by train in Haywood Co.

HAYWOOD CO., NC (FOX Carolina) -

According a fire chief in Haywood County, a car was T-boned by a train on Richland St. in Haywood Co. 

The fire chief confirmed that there were no crossing bars on the train tracks before the incident took place. 

With the driver going 45 mph in a 25 mph zone, the chief said that the car was pushed 400 feet after being hit. 

According to the fire chief, the driver was transported to Haywood Regional with no life-threatening injuries.
