GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Furman's baseball team is raising money to fight pediatric cancer. They'll also look to raise awareness Tuesday night after their game against South Carolina in Greenville by having selected players and coaches shave their heads on top of the dugout.

The Paladins and Gamecocks will square off at Fluor Field Tuesday night at 7 p.m.

If you can't make it out to the game, click here to donate.

Below is the full release from Furman University:

Furman University’s baseball program has ranked among the nation’s leaders over the last several years in support of the Vs. Cancer fundraising campaign of the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation (PBTF) in its fight against childhood cancer, and on Tuesday night it will continue with the team’s head shaving event following the Paladins’ 7:00 p.m. clash against the South Carolina Gamecocks at Fluor Field.

As of early Monday afternoon the Paladins have raised $13,799 toward their goal $10,000, so there’s still time to join the fight!

Furman players and coaches will gather on top of the dugout following the game and have their heads shaved by stylists from Great Clips and Paul Mitchell The School in an effort to raise awareness and funds in support of Vs. Cancer’s signature national fundraising campaign for the PBTF, the world’s largest nonprofit dedicated to children fighting the deadliest childhood cancer.

Half of all proceeds will be given to programs for children with cancer in the Greenville community and half will be invested in finding a cure for pediatric brain tumors, which afflict over 28,000 kids in the United States.

Donations to the Paladins’ fund-raising effort Vs. Cancer and in support of the PBTF can be made through Furman’s Vs. Cancer Page: https://team.curethekids.org/team/149047
