GAFFNEY, SC (FOX Carolina) -

The Solicitor's Office said a man was sentenced on two murder charges Tuesday in connection with a grisly 2015 double homicide.

In June 2015, the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office was notified that two people may have been shot at a home in Blacksburg. The victims were later located deceased, in a burning truck in York County.

They were identified as 34-year-old Aron Lucas Young and 43-year-old Jerry Dwayne Farmer of Gastonia.

Warrants were obtained charging Donald Creswell Jr. and Steven Eugene Parker with two counts of murder each.

According to court records, Parker was sentenced to two life prison sentences without parole on Tuesday after being found guilty in trial on the murder charges.

Per the solicitor, Parker shot both victims to death before loading their bodies into a pickup truck, driving to a rural location and setting the truck on fire in an attempt to destroy the evidence.

Charges against Creswell are still pending.
