Duke Energy: Over 1,300 without power in Spartanburg Co. after equipment damaged by animals

SPARTANBURG COUNTY (FOX Carolina) -

According Duke Energy's outage map, nearly 1,400 customers were without power in the Spartanburg County area Wednesday night.

The company listed the cause of the outage as "animals damaging our equipment."

Duke Energy said the outage was initially reported around 6:33 p.m. and is expected to be repaired by 12 a.m. Thursday.

As of 10:23 p.m., the outage affected 1,384 customers in the Spartanburg County area.
