SALUDA, NC (FOX Carolina) -

A Saluda Police officer has been fired for "willfully flagrant, wanton and lascivious behavior," according to a letter from the City Manager's office.

Officer Christopher Buchanan was dismissed from his job on Friday, April 20, per the letter.

The letter of dismissal cited the following policy violations as reason for his termination:

"This behavior results in a gross violation of The City of Saluda Personnel Policy Article IX Section 2 (4), Article IX Section 5 (13), and Article V Section 6. Furthermore, your behavior is in gross violation of the Policy and Procedure Manual for the Saluda NC Police Department. Chapter 1 Rules of Conduct 4(A)(G), Chapter 2 1 (C), and Chapter 2 2 (E)."

The letter did not specify an incident that led to Buchanan's dismissal.
