TITUSVILLE, FL (FOX Carolina) -

A county in Florida will now allow all of its employees to carry concealed guns.

According to a WESH report, Brevard County’s commissioners voted Tuesday to allow all 2,200 county employees the right to carry weapons. Previously, only law enforcement and security officers were allowed to carry while doing their jobs.

The Orlando Sentinel notes that the workers have to be “properly licensed” to carry firearms.

The employees are not required to be armed and they cannot take their guns into certain places, such as courtrooms, the county jail, or county commission meetings. They must be in control of their guns at all times and guns are not allowed to be left unattended in county vehicles.

The county also warned that any threats, intimidation, or other disruptive behaviors with the weapons will not be tolerated.
