GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

The Greenville Police Department announced that they have arrested five teen suspects in connection with an armed robbery and an attempted armed robbery in the Central Business District.

On Apr. 24, officers said a young woman walking with her friends near the Peace Center was approached by men who pulled out a gun and demanded money. The suspects didn't get away with any, but shortly thereafter police said they robbed a couple in Falls Park.

They stole cell phones, cash and a debit card from the victims, according to investigators.

In response, the Greenville Police Department stepped up patrols in the area.
