BREVARD, NC (FOX Carolina) -

Transylvania County Schools confirmed five schools were placed under a Code Yellow alert on Monday.

The district said as of 12:45 p.m., Davidson River School, Brevard High School, Brevard Elementary School, Brevard Middle School and Pisgah Forest Elementary School were affected.

All students were safe inside the building.

According to the district's handbook, during a Code Yellow students and staff go into their classrooms and lock the door. Normal classroom activities continue inside until the all-clear announcement is given.

The district was given the all clear notice around 1:15 p.m.

The Transylvania County Sheriff's Office said a student who was off campus at the time was arrested following a "threat of violence."
