Deputies: Attempted murder suspect caught with cocaine in pockets

SENECA, SC (FOX Carolina) -

The Oconee County Sheriff's Office said an attempted murder suspect is in custody after a brutal beating.

Deputies said 39-year-old Daniel Timothy Falu was wanted on an outstanding attempted murder charge. The incident occurred on Owens Road in the early morning hours of April 12.

Investigators said the victim was beaten and suffered a head laceration. According to the arrest warrant, the victim's throat was cut with a box cutter.

He was airlifted to the hospital.

Falu was captured on Friday while deputies were conducting a welfare check on Village Creek Circle. He was detained at which time deputies said they found cocaine in his pockets.

He is charged with attempted murder and possession of cocaine. Deputies said he is also known by the aliases Solomon Ezra and Solomon Kenzo.

He was denied bond.
