Sheriff: Woman wanted for burglaries in Union County gets arrested in Lake Lure

UNION, SC (FOX Carolina) -

The Union County sheriff said Tuesday that a Spartanburg County Woman accused in multiple burglaries from Union County was in Lake Lure by police there.

Sheriff David Taylor said Olivia Arnold Stephenson, 41, of Overcreek Road in Chesnee was charged with burglary second degree and grand larceny after a break-in at an address on Gaffney Highway in Jonesville on April 13. Money and jewelry was stolen.

Taylor said Stephenson was also charged with burglary petit larceny from April 24 on Pead Ridge Highway in Jonesville.

Deputies were able to recover some of the items stolen from both burglaries.

Taylor said bond was denied for Stephenson because is wanted by the Chester Police Department for theft of a controlled substance.
