GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Greenville County Deputies said a man faces multiple charges after he stole from a Lil' Cricket Tuesday evening.

Deputies said it took place at the gas station on Augusta Road in Greenville.

Per the Sheriff's Office, they received the report at 9:26 p.m. that the Lil' Cricket had been robbed. Deputies then surrounded the area and K9 units were called in.

Dispatchers said the suspect had fled with beer and honey buns.

Deputies said two people followed the man out of the store but stopped when they realized he had a gun.

A call about a suspicious person on the porch of a nearby home led deputies to Ray Dupree.

Deputies said Dupree, 48, was in possession of the stolen items, and also, some crack cocaine.

Dupree was arrested and charged with armed robbery, possession of a weapon during a violent crime, and possession of crack cocaine.

Shortly before 10:25 p.m., deputies confirmed the suspect had been located and was in custody.

No injuries were reported.
