CLEMSON, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney, his wife Kathleen, and members of the Clemson University football team will spend Thursday morning reading to more than 150 elementary school students.

According to a news release, a celebration will be held at the Clemson Indoor Practice Facility to mark the third year of the Tigers Read Initiative.

The initiative is sponsored by Dabo's All In Team Foundation and strives to help prevent a decline in reading skills during summer vacation.

Scholastic books will be on hand, along with Clifford, the Big Red Dog, to present kids with bags full of books to take home.

Football players will read "The Pigeon Finds a Hot Dog" to kids before they have a hot dog lunch.
