Sunny, warm weather will stretch into Friday, but shower chances increase for Saturday and Sunday. Temps will return to closer to normal next week.
Under a mostly sunny sky with breezy conditions at times, highs will soar into the 80s but should fall short of records. A late-day or overnight shower is possible toward the TN/NC line.
Saturday will bring more clouds with showers pushing into the mountains after lunchtime. The Upstate shouldn’t see any rain until after 6PM. A few t-storms will be possible, but the severe weather threat looks low.
Showers will linger Sunday, off and on, with highs still warm in the low 70s to around 80 degrees. A few showers and isolated t-storms will still be possible Monday before the system finally pushes east toward middle of next week.
