Coroner identifies 17-year-old motorcyclist killed in Greenville Co. crash

GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

The Greenville County Coroner says his office responded to an accident on Furman Hall Road on Thursday.

According to SC Highway Patrol, the incident occurred around 6:32 p.m.

Troopers said a truck was heading north on Pleasantburg Drive and had made a right onto Furman Hall Road when it was struck by a 17-year-old motorcyclist from Greenville.

Troopers said the 17-year-old died at the scene of the crash.

The driver of the truck was transported to GHS for treatment.

Charges are pending at this time.

The coroner identified the victim as Matthew Raymond Stayer of Greenville.

The crash remains under investigation by the coroner's office and SC Highway Patrol.
