PELZER, SC (FOX Carolina) -

The Anderson County coroner said a Pelzer teen has died after a crash late Thursday night.

Coroner Greg Shore said the crash happened around 11:30 p.m. on Joe Black Road near Lockaby Road.

Shore said a 19-year-old woman lost control of her car, ran off the road, striking a mailbox and a tree. She was pronounced dead on scene.

The woman was identified as Kelleigh Rae Jeanes.

According to the coroner's office, Jeanes died from head and neck trauma. Shore said Jeans was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident.

The coroner said speed was a factor in the collision.
