GREENWOOD, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Troopers said a motorcyclist has died days after a collision in Greenwood County.

The collision occurred on Tuesday at 2:55 p.m. on Deadfall Road.

According to troopers, the motorcyclist struck a 2001 Nissan that was pulling out of a private drive onto Deadfall Road.

The motorcyclist was not wearing a helmet and was ejected from the unit, troopers said. He was transported by EMS to Self Regional and succumbed to his injuries on Saturday morning.

The coroner identified the deceased as 42-year-old Richard Tran of Greenwood. Tran died from blunt force trauma, the coroner said.

SCHP said the driver of the Nissan was not injured in the collision. She was charged with failure to yield for right of way, troopers said.
