ANDERSON, SC (FOX Carolina) -

The coroner said an investigation is underway after two bodies were found inside an Anderson home on Sunday.

Coroner Greg Shore said the bodies were discovered around 2:50 p.m. in a residence on Overbrook Drive in the Homeland Park area, south of Anderson.

Shore said the coroner's office and sheriff's office are handling the case, which is being considered a double homicide at this time.

The coroner's office arrived on scene shortly before 3 p.m.

Shore said the victims were a mother and daughter who were "violently killed." The victims were identified as 79-year-old Judith Hilly Calvert and 50-year-old Theresa Lucille Wright.

Shore said both victims had similar injuries, including gunshot wounds, stab wounds and strangulation. They also had other physical injuries, he said.

The coroner also mentioned a shooting that occurred Sunday morning in which a relative of the victims was arrested as a suspect. Officials confirmed 29-year-old Bradley Aldrich was charged with attempted murder after a separate shooting incident on Woodmont Circle.

The Anderson County Sheriff's Office said Monday that no arrests have been made in connection with the homicides. Detectives are conducting interviews with friends and family to determine what happened to Calvert and Wright.

No suspects or persons of interest have been named in their violent deaths.

The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to call the Anderson County Sheriff’s Office at 864-260-4400.
