Officials: Two detectives crash while chasing suspect in Anderson Co.

ANDERSON, SC (FOX Carolina) -

The Anderson County Sheriff's Office said two law enforcement officials were involved in a crash during a pursuit on Monday.

The collision was reported around 2:40 p.m. on Newton Lane near South McDuffie Street.

Deputies said Anderson County officials were involved in a chase when two detectives joined in to assist.

When the suspect made a quick turn, deputies said the detectives' two vehicles collided. One deputy suffered minor injuries in the incident.

The suspect was taken into custody and identified as 43-year-old Armbra Bryant. He is charged with attempted murder, possession of methamphetamine, possession of a controlled substance and possession of a stolen gun.
