GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

At least one student was taken to the hospital Monday after a crash involving a Greenville County School bus, officials confirm.

The collision occurred shortly after 4 p.m. near the intersection of Academy and Calhoun Streets.

Officials say 46 students from Sevier Middle School were on the bus when the crash occurred. One student was transported to Greenville Memorial as a precaution for complaints of hip pain, the school district said.

Per initial reports, a driver ran a red light. No further details were released on the crash.

All students were transported home by parents or an alternate bus.
