GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport was the scene of a full scale disaster simulation on Wednesday.

The Salvation Army Greenville Area Command participated in Operation Wings of Hope 2018 between Monday and Thursday, testing emergency response.

The simulation was a hypothetical situation where another state had a large disaster and patients had to be flown into GSP and transported to area hospitals.

A C-17 and civilian aircraft were part of the participation, which included agencies from the federal, state and local levels.
