Bond denied for man charged with attempted murder in Greenville Co. stabbing

GREENVILLE COUNTY, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Deputies said a man has been charged in connection with a stabbing in Greenville County on Thursday.

Around 1:40 p.m., Greenville County Sheriff's Office received a call about a stabbing near the intersection of Cureton Drive and Ridge Road in Greenville.

Deputies said 49-year-old Booker Thomas Hill III was charged with attempted murder in connection with the stabbing.

According to deputies, the male victim had located Hill, who he believed had stolen items from him, and an altercation ensued. Deputies said at some point during the altercation, Hill stabbed the victim at least one time with a sharp object.

The victim was transported to the hospital. The victim's status is unknown at this time, however he was pronounced stable earlier in the day.

Deputies said Hill was found in an abandoned residence on Cureton Drive, and was taken into custody and transported to Greenville County Detention Center.

He later appeared in court and was denied bond on his attempted murder charge.
