Deputies: Missing man with dementia located, transported to hospital after Edgefield Co. crash

GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Greenville County deputies say a missing man with dementia was located in Edgefield County Thursday evening.

The sheriff's office said 79-year-old Richard Lyon Tucker had last been seen at 7:30 a.m. on Thursday at 601 Stone Ridge Road in Greenville.

Tucker was driving a white 2014 Honda CR-V.

Around 8:25 p.m., deputies said Tucker had been located in Edgefield County after being involved in a crash. He was transported to the hospital for treatment and is expected to be okay, according to Edgefield County Sheriff's Office.

SLED was also investigating Tucker's disappearance.

Anyone with information regarding his whereabouts is asked to call 911 or Crime Stoppers of Greenville at 23-CRIME.
