SPARTANBURG, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Dispatchers said a tree fell on a house in Spartanburg County on Thursday.

The report came as severe weather rolled through Western North Carolina and the Upstate Thursday evening.

Dispatchers said the incident happened on Lynwood Drive.

A family member of the homeowner affected by the storm damage shared photos of a car under large branches, and a roof damaged by a falling tree.

Fire crews on scene said no one was injured during the incident. The fire department contacted Red Cross, which will assist the family tonight.

As of 8:40 p.m., over 1,000 Duke Energy customers were without power in the Spartanburg County area.
