Saturday kicks off the weekend with highs well into the 80s, flirting with 90 degrees in some areas across the Upstate. While the chance of rain remains low, it is not zero so keep that in mind toward afternoon.
Mother’s Day Sunday looks dry and HOT – expect highs in the upper 80s to low 90s area-wide. Heat index values could briefly approach 95 degrees in some spots, so try to be outside in the morning or around dusk if possible!
Next week still promises unsettled weather conditions, but we will squeeze in one more mostly dry, hot, and humid day on Monday. After that, there will be a good chance of rain and storms each day through Friday. The good news – heat levels won’t be as intense as this weekend!
A system will move in from the Gulf of Mexico and fuel on and off rain beginning Tuesday and last through next weekend.
