Upstate law enforcement agencies hold memorial services, events on Peace Officers Memorial Day

Law enforcement agencies across the Upstate will pause to remember their fallen brethren Tuesday during Peace Officers Memorial Day ceremonies.

Below is a list of Upstate agencies who have released public details on services.

  • The Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Office: 11 a.m. in front of the Sheriff’s Office located at 8045 Howard Street in Spartanburg.
  • The Greenville County Sheriff’s Office / Greenville City Police / SC Highway Patrol of Greenville County: 11 a.m. at the Greenville County Law Enforcement Center on McGee Street. The Blood Connection will also host a blood drive from 7 – 4 p.m. in front of the LEC. Everyone who donates blood will receive a commemorative law enforcement t-shirt.
  • The Laurens County Sheriff’s Office: Noon at the Piedmont Technical College Higher Education Center, Laurens Campus, located on Medical Road in Clinton.
  • The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office is hosting its 4th annual Retired LEO Appreciation Luncheon at noon. Any retired local, state, tribal or federal law enforcement officers who currently reside in Oconee County are welcome to attend this luncheon, which will begin at Noon on the second floor of the Law Enforcement Center at 300 South Church Street in Walhalla.  Call 864-638-4117 to RSVP.
