ANDERSON, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Anderson County Emergency Management issued a notice on Thursday that a loud explosion will be heard at the Anderson Regional Airport.

Officials said a pyrotechnics rehearsal will be held at 2 p.m. in preparation for a weekend airshow. Emergency response crews will be on site during the rehearsal and will monitor the area for any safety issues.

If you hear the explosion at 2 p.m., officials urged residents NOT to call 911 to report it.

The 2018 Bill and Jo Trent Airshow will be held at the airport on May 19 and 20 at 1 p.m. For more information, click here.
