Troopers: 9 passengers, bus driver injured in wreck involving Greenlink bus, tractor-trailer

GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

The South Carolina Highway Patrol said nine passengers were injured after a collision involving a Greenlink bus and tractor-trailer. 

The collision occurred on White Horse Road at Crestfield Road around 1:00 p.m. 

According to troopers, the Greenlink bus was stopped at the light on Crestfield Road while the tractor trailer was traveling on White Horse Road. Troopers said the light for the bus turned green, both vehicles entered the intersection and collided. 

Nine of the thirteen passengers on the bus were injured, per troopers. 

The driver of the bus was also injured in the collision, SCHP said. He was transported to Greenville Memorial. 

Troopers said the driver of the tractor-trailer was charged with disregarding traffic signal. He was not injured in the incident.
