ANDERSON, SC (FOX Carolina) -

The last 12 1/2 years have been pretty rough for Regina Wells.

"My mom and dad had told me they were getting ready to go out to eat," Regina Wells said.

She replays October 13, 2005 all the time. She said she and her dad had a talk before he left home.

"A face as beautiful as that- you don't need any make up," Regina Wells said. "He kissed me on my forehead and then he walked out of the room and that was the last time I ever saw him."

Investigators say someone tried to rob Pete Wells as he walked out of the Bamboo Garden Restaurant in Anderson County. The man shot and killed him and took off as her mother sat in the car. Investigators found a ball cap and a chain at the scene, which is believed to be the killer's.

"When I lost my dad- my world stopped. You know, I felt like a part of me went with him," Regina Wells said. "I battled depression for a very long time, which is understandable- it was really bad for me."

However, the birth of her daughter gave her purpose and so did her father's unsolved homicide case.

"You go from having someone there that is pretty much your super man to having a person taken away," she said.

Now, she posts a picture of a playing card about her dad's homicide on social media every day.

"There's no doubt in my mind that somebody knows something," she said.

She also created the Justice for Pete Wells Facebook page because she doesn't want anyone to forget the man she calls her dad and best friend.

"I'm going to continue to do it until the case is solved," she said.
