Rain chances continue through the week before more widespread rain potentially moves in for parts of the Memorial Day weekend.
Some showers could linger into the early morning hours, but most areas will stay dry but rather humid with lows dropping into the 60s.
The rest of Wednesday brings a slightly lower rain chance overall, but still be prepared for passing showers or storms…especially during the afternoon hours. Assuming there aren’t as many storms, highs should be able to reach the mid 80s.
Thursday brings more of the same – afternoon-driven showers and storms…perhaps concentrated more in the Upstate vs. the mountains. Some rain is also possible Friday afternoon, but widespread coverage is not expected.
Saturday still looks like the most promising day in terms of not being a washout. There will be some rain around, but it shouldn’t be anything heavy or widespread.
Sunday and Memorial Day Monday still look to bring the most widespread rain chances to the area as an area of disturbed weather over the Gulf (tropical or not) sends LOTS of moisture our way.
Of course, with the recent heavy rains and a daily rain chance expected over the next 7 days, it is inevitable some flooding risk will accompany the slower-moving, heavy downpours each day.
