GREENWOOD, SC (FOX Carolina) -

In the last 389 days, authorities in Greenwood County said they have seized at least 389 guns in various operations conducted by the Greenwood County Sheriff's Office and Greenwood Police Dept.

Sheriff Dennis Kelly gave FOX Carolina a look Wednesday afternoon at some of the cache of weapons.

"You have shotguns with pistol grips," said Kelly.  "You have a lot of revolvers and semi-automatic weapons and assault rifles.  You see several with scopes on them."

Kelly said all have been seized from shootings, drug operations, and armed robberies, among other crimes.

"It's a lot of guns for anybody," said Kelly.

Kelly said he's giving the public a look at what they've seized now in an effort to show how prevalent crimes involving guns are, and the need to come forward.

"We can't make changes unless the victims that were shot, or people in the community that witnessed the shootings, give us information to make an arrest and get these people off the street," said Kelly.
