SPARTANBURG, SC (FOX Carolina) -

The Spartanburg County Sheriff's Office said drivers should be aware that deputies will be conducting several public safety check points beginning Thursday and continuing into June.

Deputies will setup checkpoints in the county to look for seatbelt and child restraint compliance, as well as all other traffic violations. Drivers will be asked to provide a driver's license, vehicle registration, and proof of insurance when they come through the public safety check point.

Deputies said the goal of the operation is to reduce the number of traffic collisions and aggressive driving incidents.

The checkpoints will continue until June 3.
