Police: K-9 Officer captures auto break-in suspect in downtown Greenville

GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

The Greenville Police Department said a suspect is in custody after reports of an auto break-in on Thursday.

A large law enforcement presence was on scene at Academy Street shortly before 12:30 p.m. Police received a report that a suspect broke into a car in the Courtyard by Marriot parking garage

According to police, K-9 Officer Rocky tracked the suspect to the bottom floor of the parking garage. 

Officers identified the suspect as 29-year-old Vonnie Earl Locklear Jr. 

Locklear was charged with one count of autobreaking, police said.
