Coroner identifies Upstate pastor, wife killed after crashing into culvert in Abbeville Co.

ABBEVILLE COUNTY, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Troopers said two people are dead after a crash in Abbeville County on Friday.

The incident happened around 7:04 p.m. along US 178 near Rock Springs Church Road.

According to troopers, a 1995 Buick LeSabre was traveling east on US 178 when it ran off the right side of the roadway and struck a culvert.

SC Highway Patrol said both occupants became entrapped.

The driver was taken to AnMed where they passed away, said troopers. Troopers said the passenger was taken to Self Regional in Greenwood, where they also passed away.

The coroner identified the victims as 68-year-old Stanley C. Fuller and his wife, Joyce F. Fuller. Their cause of death was listed as multiple trauma, and an autopsies have been scheduled.

The coroner said Fuller was the pastor at Winona Baptist Church in Donalds,SC.

The crash remains under investigation by the Abbeville County Coroner's Office and SC Highway Patrol.
