Deputies: Stolen dog safely returned to owner

ASHEVILLE, NC (FOX Carolina) -

Officials with Buncombe County Sheriff's Office said a stolen dog has been returned to its owner. 

Deputies said the dog is in good condition. 

According to the sheriff's office, the dog was taken on Thursday around 10 p.m.

Deputies said the dog was stolen from the Ingles Supermarket parking lot at 225 Charlotte Hwy.

The investigation into the incident is ongoing. 

Anyone who recognizes the suspect is asked to contact Buncombe County Sheriff's Office at (828) 250-6670.
