WOODRUFF, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Spartanburg County School District Four said they would be dismissing all schools in the Woodruff area at 11 a.m. due to a power outage.

Duke Energy was working to restore more than 1,500 outages in Spartanburg County Tuesday morning, according to the utility provider’s online outage map.

661 outages were reported in Woodruff along around the town’s main street. Duke said fallen trees and limbs damaged their equipment around 2 a.m. Crews hope to have power restored in Woodruff by 12:30 p.m.

896 outages were also reported in the Cunningham area along and near New Cut Road and John Dodd Road. Duke reported the power went off in that area just after 8 a.m. and should be restored by 11:30 a.m.

Other pockets of outages were reported near Roebuck and on Pine Street near Glendale.

Spartanburg District Four said Woodruff Primary, Woodruff Elementary, Woodruff Middle, and Woodruff High would dismiss at 11 a.m. due to the outage.
