Officials: Mud slide reported in Henderson County, no injuries reported

HENDERSONVILLE, NC (FOX Carolina) -

Henderson County Emergency Management said no one was hurt in a mud slide Tuesday morning.

Officials said the mud slide occurred along Bear Branch Road near Gerton Highway, off Chimney Rock Road.

Henderson and all Mountain counties are under a flash flood watch until Thursday morning as rain and storms from subtropical depression Alberto continue to push in to the area.

A woman was killed in her home when a mud slide struck in neighboring Polk County on May 19.
