Upstate high school graduations moved due to weather

BOILING SPRINGS, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Families watching a Boiling Springs High School graduate walk across the stage on Thursday night need to be aware of a location change.

Spartanburg School District 2 said due to the threat of inclement weather, the graduation has been moved to Spartanburg Memorial Auditorium at 7 p.m.

The district issued the following reminders on the event:

  • Everyone must have a ticket. Students were given their 5 tickets at graduation practice on Wednesday. There are no extra tickets available.
  • The Spartanburg Memorial Auditorium has a clear bag policy. Spartanburg Memorial Auditorium also does not allow balloons of any kind inside the building. For more information about these policies visit their website.
  • Graduation will be streamed on the Spartanburg School District 2 YouTube channel

Spartanburg County School District 6 also moved the Dorman High School graduation to the Dorman Arena at 8 p.m. due to the threat of severe weather.
