Police: Shots fired, car hit with bullets 5 times in Greenville

GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Greenville Police said an investigation is underway after shots were and a car was hit with bullets. 

Around 11:00 a.m. Friday, officers said a suspect in a gray SUV fired shots at the victim's vehicle while traveling on Rutherford Street. 

The victim's Jeep was hit at least five times, police said. 

According to officers, the suspect's vehicle then fled down Butler Avenue at a high rate of speed. 

The suspect's gray SUV is believed to be a Ford Escape or possibly a Honda CR-V.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call Greenville Crime Stoppers at 23-CRIME.
