GREENVILLE COUNTY, SC (FOX Carolina) -

The South Carolina Department of Transportation issued a detour for motorists traveling on I-385 NB starting Saturday night at 10 p.m.

This detour will be in effect until Sunday, June 3, at 6 a.m. due to the continuation of the Gateway Project.

According to the SCDOT, this upcoming detour is in place to allow for a concrete deck to be placed on the bridge over I-85.

In order to do this, drivers will be required to take I-85NB, towards Spartanburg, Exit 36-A. Drivers will continue on I-85 NB to Exit 56 (Hwy. 14), where they will stay left to get back onto I-85 SB. Motorists will continue of I-85 SB to Exit 51 where they can access 385 N, towards Greenville, per the report.

The SCDOT asks all motorists to travel with care and observe all signage and devices in place during this time.
