COLORADO SPRINGS, CO (AP) -

A Spartanburg County man is facing multiple child sex charges after an investigation by the state's Internet Crimes Against Children task force.

The South Carolina Attorney General's Office said an investigation was launched after The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children shared a tip regarding the distribution of child pornography.

Officials said 51-year-old Jerry Clyde Cox of Inman was arrested and charged with four counts of second-degree sexual exploitation of a minor.

The Spartanburg County Sheriff's Office, the Greenville County Sheriff's Office and Homeland Security Investigations helped with the case.
