BREVARD, NC (FOX Carolina) -

A Brevard, North Carolina family has found a way to make mornings more exciting - and it involves the Carolina Skymeter!

April Wilson Gaydosh says her husband Jonathan and their two children Marek and Landers, ages 3 and 8, wake up every morning, eat breakfast and turn on FOX Carolina.

She said her husband began to play up the Skymeter part of the forecast, saying "Come on Nicole, give us a 10," and their kids started getting involved.

Gaydosh said her children thought it was hilarious, so every morning they all started guessing what the Skymeter was going to be.

"My 8-year-old always pulls for a five or above because that means he has a better shot of good weather at recess," Gaydosh said.

But it was 3-year-old Marek who REALLY got into it, especially when the Skymeter strikes 10. She captured it all on video:

Gaydosh, who is the principal at Brevard Elementary, said the Skymeter prediction has definitely pepped up their mornings.

"It definitely adds a little fun with our kids in the morning as we all amp up for school!"

FOX Carolina's Nicole Papay responded to the video saying, "Oh my gosh he is adorable!!!!"
